Philip was born on October 26, 1923 and passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012.
Philip was a resident of Brazil, Indiana at the time of his passing.
Phil graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1941.
He drafted into the United States Army where he served in the infantry from 1943 through 1946.He was proud of his service to his country with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 71st Regiment, 44th Infantry Division where he earned a Combat Infantry Badge, 2 Unit Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his wife Oletta.
Services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 11am with Pastors Bill Price and Gary Scroggins officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, from 4-8pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ebenezer Church 10909 North County Road 100 E. Brazil, IN 47834.
