May 7, 1930 – April 10, 2012 Jo Ann Sipes, 81, of Bedford, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 3:05 a.m. at Garden Villa in Bedford. Born May 7, 1930 in Kyrock, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Dabner and Christine (Kinser) Cook. She married R. Basil Sipes; and he preceded her in death on January 6, 1974. She was employed at Westinghouse Electric for several years. She was of the Protestant Faith, and also was an Eastern Star. Surviving are her son, Mike (Marlene) Sipes of Bedford; two grandsons, Scott (Kristin) Sipes of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Jeremy Sipes of Bedford; one granddaughter, Amber (Sean) Cleary of New York City, NY; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dabner (Treva) Cook, Jr. and David (Shirley) Cook, all of Odon, IN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Cremation was chosen. Burial will take place at a later date in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Odon, IN. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Jo Ann Sipes. Arrangements under the direction of Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, IN.
