Austin Gene Hubbard

July 20, 1929 – April 8, 2012 Austin "Gene" Hubbard, 82, of Bedford, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at 7:40 a.m. at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital, Bedford, IN. Born July 20, 1929, in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Austin O. Hubbard and Hilda (Foster) Hubbard. He married Iris Jackson on July 22, 1950, and she survives. He was employed as a salesman at Jenkins' and Hoosier Parts in Bedford. He enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a member of the Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene for several years. Surviving are his wife, Iris Hubbard, of Bedford; one son, Gregory (Cheryl) Hubbard of Norman; one daughter, Pamela (Tom) Embree of Bedford; three grandchildren, Erica (Kevin) Stinger of Michigan; Natalie (Paul) Coffman of Clarksville; Ryan Embree (fiance', Brandi Lemons) of Indianapolis; two great grandchildren, Leo and Charlotte Stinger of Michigan; three step grandchildren, Carra (Trent) Harbstreit of Bedford; Sandra (Kye) Louden of Bedford; Melissa Flynn of Bedford; eight step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Katie Aiello of Inpo, CA; Betty Jackson of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Bill Hubbard. Funeral services will be Friday, April 13, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, 4 – 8 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene.
